I'm still waiting for my big climactic ending where I save the Earth from large, alien transformable robots and make out with Megan Fox.

My imagination allows me to never accomplish that to which I aspire to!

His explanation is pretty good. That ecstasy/misery graph shows a lot.

'Clever and forever unhappy'. That's Vonnegut and why I consider him a failure.

KV had wealth, fame, the respect of his peers and the love of many fans. He raised decent, healthy children who went on to become doctors and artists.

Yet he was miserable ALL the fking time.

I hope for his sake it was mostly an act and he got enjoyment from something, even a Tic-Tac.

So it goes.

Oh shit, wealth and fame are not enough to make you a happy person! Who would have thought?

All QM is saying is the dude should feel accomplished. On one hand, he has done a lot better for himself and others than many people will ever do. On the other, it's that perpetual unhappiness that'll make him keep pining to do better and better

This time, go back and actually read what I wrote.

It shouldn't even be about accomplishment, but his own happiness. You could choose to be happy as you strive to do better, too.

Vonnegut was proof the mind can make a heaven out of hell or a hell out of heaven.
