Books - Printed Glory
by kronosposeidon

Before there was the internet, 1sttube, radio, film, and recorded music, there were books. The internet is basically an interconnected set of documents, and it's revolutionized the way knowledge is shared. But for thousands of years before that the only document aggregator available to spread stories and ideas was the humble book (and its primitive predecessor, the scroll). Even in our modern electronic era, I have a feeling that books will be around for many years to come, even if the printed page appears on an electronic screen in the new e-books.

What kind of videos are included in this category? Ones about book discussions, interviews with authors, and any movie or movie clip based on a book. I'll even include graphic novels in this category. No videos about the Bible, Koran, or other religious texts, please. They are much better suited to the Religion channel.

He covers a lot during this interview. Terrorism, 9/11, Propaganda, media, journalism, his books. I like how he puts money on the fact that the Bush Admin will use 9/11 to invade Iraq...Wonder if he ever collected. RIP

RP talks about why he has not dropped out of the race and why he can not support John McCain. When pushed he says all three candidates are a bad choice but he thinks Obama would be a little better then the other two. His new book is currently #1 on Amazon.com and #7 on NY Times best seller list.

This is the first video journal for the upcoming Watchmen film, showing a lot of the sets that they're building. This actually looks fairly promising (and faithful to the comic); if it were anyone other than Zack Snyder directing I'd be incredibly excited.
